The Centre employs under- and post-graduates in Science, Mathematics and Engineering as educators who deliver programs to primary and secondary students in the presence of their teachers. They come from a broad range of scientific and engineering backgrounds. Though diverse, they have a number of things in common: they are motivated, interested, excellent communicators and, most of all, excited about space and about science education.
Trained by permanent staff in current pedagogy, they relate very well to students, embodying the concept that further studies in Mathematics, Science and Engineering at senior secondary and tertiary level are worthwhile and have tangible outcomes.
Educators accompany students on their mission to Mars, visit the international space station, land at the Mars surface laboratory, make dancing robots, test astronauts for flight suitability and more.
