During his visit to Australia, NASA Administrator, Charles Bolden, will meet students at Questacon. Victorian students are invited to join the conversation from VSSEC via video conference. A time will be advised when the Administrator's schedule is confirmed.

Students attending the event are invited to submit a question they would like to ask the Administrator. VSSEC will select five questions for consideration. Questions that explore the use of space technology for human benefit and the future of the space industry will be given preference.

Nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate, retired Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Charles Frank Bolden, Jr., began his duties as the 12th NASA Administrator in 2009. His confirmation marked the beginning of his second stint with the space agency. His 34-year career with the Marine Corps included 14 years as a member of NASA's Astronaut Office. After joining the office in 1980, he travelled to orbit four times aboard the space shuttle between 1986 and 1994, commanding two of the missions. His flights included deployment of the Hubble Space Telescope and the first joint U.S.-Russian shuttle  mission.
