The Right Stuff is a hands-on introduction for students studying health, human performance & bioscience suitable for years 9-11.

  • The program emphasizes practical experience and offers students the opportunity to operate a range of specialist equipment, and is ideally suited for students considering a career in the health and fitness industry, or working in a laboratory setting.
  • A very engaging introduction to physiology for science and physical education students.
  • Students collect personal data including heart and respiration rates, blood pressure, blood-oxygen saturation levels and hand-grip strength before conducting three detailed investigations; cardio-vascular fitness, metabolic rate and a blood and urine analysis (synthetic)
  • This program can also form a part of the Inner Melbourne VET Cluster's Career and Transition Program.
  • All students receive a booklet to record their data and complete their calculations, which can be used to assess student outcomes.
