The program includes and on-line, pre-visit project for students to complete in the classroom, and a half-day visit to VSSEC.
- At VSSEC, students are issued with flight suits, watch a movie that flies them to Mars and sets the scene for the scientific mission in the Space Laboratory.
- Students are engaged in a wide range of science activities using sophisticated computer and communications technology.
- All students have the oppoortunity to work as astronauts and in Mission Control.
- This program encourages collaborative learning and teamwork, and provides a rich science experience that builds core skills as defined in the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) Level 4.
