Learn how to use technology to enhance your maths instruction and integrate what you learn into your classroom. During two face-to-face, three-day professional development sessions organized around Content, Understanding, and Environment strands, you’ll discover how to

  •  address content from the perspective of student learning years 7 –10
  •  implement strategies to make student thinking visible,
  •  leverage technology applications for both students and teachers,
  •  use multiple representations to help students understand why certain   procedures consistently work to solve maths problems
  •  create a productive classroom environment to help every student learn maths.

 During two face-to-face, three-day professional development sessions organized around the DESI Framework, Content, Understanding, and Environment strands, you’ll learn how to

  • address integrated STEM content from the perspective of student learning goals years 5-8
  • implement strategies to make student thinking visible,
  • leverage technology and engineering strategies for both students and teachers,
  • use multiple representations (in maths) and an inquiry approach (in science) to bring all students to high levels of understanding, and
  • create a productive classroom environment to help every student learn maths and science leading to STEM literacy.
