Interactive Science Notebooks
Interactive science notebooks allow students to record and analyse observations, reflect on their learning, and self-assess their work. They demonstrate to teacher (and parents) the student’s developing organizational capacities and foster
- improved critical thinking skills
- abilities in sense making, expressing understanding creatively and using writing as a process for discovery and synthesis of inquiry
- improvement in understanding and literacy skills
- skills in modelling functions of scientists: to think like a scientist, record like a scientist and reflect like a scientist
