Expedition to the M.A.R.S. Base

This program delivers a scenario-based learning environment that engages the students in a wide range of science activities, uses computer and communications technology and strongly encourages collaborative learning and teamwork. It offers a rich experience in science and builds core skills. Students work in Mission Control and at the M.A.R.S. Base.

  • observing the astronauts working in the Mars Australian Research Station (M.A.R.S.)
  • using interactive software to monitor systems and solve related problems.
  • working in pairs to complete hands-on science tasks and communicate their results to Mission Control.

1 class per session , min 12 students , max 24-26 students (9:30am-12pm or 12pm-2:30pm)

2 classes per day , max 50-52 students  may only  be booked as a pair with a related course for a full day ,9:30am-2:30pm . (See MORE INFORMATION)

$20 per student (plus GST);

Years 5 and 6.

 

Our programs are designed for 24 students per class. We can accomodate for up to a maximum of 26 students per class.

This program works well in conjunction with Tickle My Droid, Fully Charged! and The Size of Your Sol. One of these may also be booked to make a full day.
